Here’s a quick history lesson if you decided to stay!

History

Michael Jordan Air Jordan 6

Michael Jordan in Air Jordan 6 in 1990-1991 season

Initially released in 2006, it was a celebration of Michael Jordan’s first and second 3-peat. He was the first ever to do so!

The first 3-peat was in the 1990-1991 season when Michael Jordan won 3 back to back MVP awards.

It happened after the Bulls won their third championship by a game winning shot and last second block.

Michael Jordan was the leader for all the games as always. Leading his team towards not just victory but domination.

The second 3-peat came about when the bulls won their 6th championship final. This final had the highest television rating of any final in history!

The first time the Air Jordan 6 DMP released was in 2006. As the name suggests this was an actual pack. The Air Jordan 11 was also released along with the 6.

Take a look at how they did on the re-sale market.

Air Jordan 6 Defining Moments (2006)

Air Jordan 6 Defining Moments 2006

Retail Price: $148

Peak Resell: $800

Release Date: 01/28/2006

COLORWAY: Black/Metallic-Gold

Released back in 2006, it accumulated a lot of hype behind it. Celebrating Michael Jordan’s 2 three-peas was special to his die-hard fans.

It not only released with an Air Jordan 6 Retro but also and AJ 11. It was obvious that these would be sold out very fast and have great resale value right off the bat.

According to StockX, the trade range is between $303-$396 with the average selling price being $385. That’s an average profit of $237.

The profits on these kicks initially were great. The peak resale profit being a decent $652. Over time however, the resale value is on a gradual decline.

The pattern shows a gradual decline of resale value after 2016 falling to an average of $350 today.

Moving on to estimate the Air Jordan 6 DMPs resale value, let’s look at a few otter examples.

Air Jordan 7 Retro Golden Moments Pack

Air Jordan 7 Retro Golden Moments Pack

Retail Price: $175

Peak Resell: $488

Release Date: 08/18/2012

COLORWAY: Black/Metallic-Golden

Reminiscent of the Air Jordan 6 DMP, these sure are head turners.

With a very similar color tone such as the black upper and golden and white accents throughout the sneakers. We can gather a good estimate of how the DMP 6 will do.

According to StockX the trade range is between $192-$288 with the average price being $238. That’s an average profit of $63 per pair. The peak potential profit is $313. So that’s pretty good.

However, the over-all value of these sneakers is gradually falling just as the pairs mentioned prior. Thus we’re seeing a similar pattern of decent resale value initially, then falling over time.

Jordan 11 Retro Concord DMP (2006)

Air Jordan 11 Retro Concord DMP 2006

Retail Price: $148

Peak Resell: $1,077

Release Date: 01/28/2006

COLORWAY: White/Black-Gold

These may not be similar to the Air Jordan 6 DMP but they are similar in emotional and historic value.

They were released along with the AJ DMP pack in 2006 which justifies the comparison and as an example for estimation. Their resale value also shows an interesting pattern.

These did do better and currently are doing better than the Air Jordan 6 DMP. The trade range is between $378-$544 and the average selling price is $506. Earning sellers an average profit of $358.

The resale value however as the prior mentioned decreases over time gradually. Perhaps that tells us whatever the resale is, don’t hold it for too long.

Air Jordan 6 Defining Moments Pack (2020)

Air Jordan 6 DMP 2020 1

Retail Price: $200

Peak Resell: $442

Release Date: 04/11/2020

COLORWAY: Black/Metallic-Gold

As a re-release of the original and first time being retroed but without the Air Jordan 11. The AJ DMP is making its way to stores finally on the 11th of April. Well hopefully so as the release date has been postponed multiple times.

The shoe looks exactly like the originals with the black upper and golden/metallic accents all over.

They feature black flat laces and right above them is the golden “Jump-Man” logo. The in-sole also features a golden “Jump-Man” logo with black all around.

The out-sole is also an exciting pattern with a black and white and a golden “Jump-Man” in the middle.

Air Jordan 6 DMP 2020 4

Finally, the sneaker also features a beautiful dog tag in pure golden with a bit of history on the back. Over all, these kicks look insane!

The quality as per reviews is also top notch as you’d expect. Definitely a top Jordan 6 colorway in y opinion.

Resale Value

Coming to the important part which is the resale value. These sneakers are doing decently on the market

Don’t expect anything crazy but you might make a nice quick buck. These will definitely sell out fast. It’s for sure a top 5 Colorway for most.

According to StockX the trade range is between $243-$295 with the average being $293. The average profit per pair is over $90. With a peak potential profit of $242, that’s no too bad.

As you can see the most profitable sizes are 7, 11.5 and 14 so far.

Furthermore, I’d like to add it’s probably best not to hold these for long as previously mentioned. The Jordan 6 DMPs tend to lose value gradually over time.
