Hello my fellow sneakerheads, aren’t you getting tired of using your lame hands to tie your troublesome laces? Isn’t it about time that we shifted to automation? Well, Nike surely seems to think that this is the case.
Since the start of the year 2020, Nike has been aiming to move ahead with its self-lacing technology in the form of its Adapt BB 2.0 silhouette. Just recently, we covered the MAG colorway in the BB 2.0 sneaker and now we have the hippie tie-dye print on its way.
On August 13th Nike is releasing the Adapt BB 2.0 Tie Dye for a retail price of $350. The Adapt BB 2.0 silhouette is extremely popular within the reselling community because of the novel self-lacing technology involved in the sneaker. Moreover, there is little to none competition for Nike in this particular department.
Check out our resale prediction of the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 MAG which is releasing on the 9th of August.
Feel free to skip to the conclusion to read a condensed version of the entire article and find out how much you can resell the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Tie Dye for.
Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Tie Dye
Nike is loving the tie-dye colorway as can be seen from its previous drops, the most notable of which is the Air Jordan Women’s Exclusive Tie Dye. Now those sneakers, caught a hefty profit margin for the resellers because even though they were a women’s exclusive, men got it for themselves too in larger sizes – only because it looked so good.
The Nike Adapt BB 2.0 Tie Dye has a relatively similar design as its previous offerings; with a few added materials of course. This Adapt silhouette comes with a hole mesh upper that is paired with a massive Swoosh across the forefoot. Underneath its now classic translucent upper, the sneaker sports a tie-dye print. Furthermore, the sneaker has ice translucent accents on the heel, midfoot, and outsole. Last but not the least, the insoles also feature a tie-dye graphic which wraps up this sneaker.
For those of you wondering why a simple basketball shoe is worth $350 – let me explain. Ladies and Gentlemen, while this may look ordinary, the technology within it is far from it. What you are looking at is a dream turned into reality after endless time and money spent on research and development by a brand we have all come to love.
The Adapt technology allows you to control your sneaker from your iPhone or your Apple Watch. With just a click of a button or a voice command to Siri, your Adapt BB 2.0 will tie itself. Moreover, the Adapt application comes with two pre-set modes: Activity – for when you’re planning on playing a game or going on a job, and Relaxing – for when you want to just sit down and read our articles.
And it just doesn’t end there. In order to truly make each sneaker customizable by the wearer, Nike has introduced a little special feature. With a press of a button on your Apple Watch, you can customize your Adapt BB 2.0 to light up in 13 different colors! I believe that deserves a standing ovation, guys!
As a kid growing up with Back to the Future, the self-lacing technology seemed a rather distant dream which might never be fulfilled. Therefore, for someone like me, the Adapt silhouette is a gift from Nike – one which deserves its steep price.
