Nike Air Fear of God 1 “Oatmeal” Release and Resale Pricing Guide
The Air Fear of God 1

Earlier this year, Jerry Lorenzo and the Fear of God team shook up the sneaker game with their collection of luxury aesthetic sneakers and garms. Nike, the famous sportswear label was able to see a product line that boasted top quality and craftsmanship.

The one standout from the partnership was the new original sneaker, the Air Fear of God 1. The shoe immediately got a massive following and was seen on feet of many celebrities like athletes, actors, and musicians alike. Everyone is giving their praise to this modern, exciting design.

The Air Fear of God 1 was initially designed to be a basketball shoe, as Lorenzo felt there was a disconnect between sport and casual wear. Lorenzo said that he wanted consumers to be able to dunk in them one day and rock them in the streets the next.

We’ve seen a black, Light bone, Amarillo, Frosted Spruce, and Orange pulse colors so far.

The latest iteration of the Air Fear of God 1 is being called “Oatmeal”. If you know anything about Jerry and the FOG line, it’s that muted, earth tones are a huge hit.

The Oatmeal has a tonal color scheme that is similar to the signature “sail” color we love from Nike. Touting minimal and soft Nike and FOG branding, this sneakerboot-esque piece of footwear has quite an innovative and futuristic look.

For an on on-court, performance basketball sneaker it does feature a zipper in the back of the shoe, a unique lacing and shroud system, and premium materials. Another highlight to speak on is the Air Mag-like air unit in the heel. You can check out another one of my articles here to see a full detailed description on the Fear of God 1.

What We’ve Seen from Nike and Fear of God So Far

Sneaker enthusiasts have been lucky to see a slew of silhouettes from FOG and Nike. All of which have had wildly successful releases. Sounds corny but I believe there’s a sneaker for every style in the collection.

There’s been a total of 5 different Nike x Fear of God silhouettes. In that list is the FOG 1, the FOG Shoot Around, the Skylon II, the Raid, and the Moccasin. Each has come in a handful of color ways. The various models are high, low, and in between. Hence why I believe the catalogue of sneakers is so versatile.

There’s a wide spectrum of colors and materials between the roster also. Last but certainly not least is the price points. Retail and resell, the pricing has been an interesting piece of the puzzle.

Some models are reselling for $500+ over retail (like certain Fear of God 1s), while others are being resold for as much or less than retail (Skylons and maybe Mocs). The important part is that this FOG and Nike line is super inclusive. The sneakers can be as available or exclusive as you’re looking for which is pretty cool.

Will it Resell?

Simply put, YES it will resell. Everyone should be trying to get their hands on a pair of these. Don’t let the high retail scare you away. Big up front cost usually comes with a big payout and these should not disappoint.

As mentioned before, the Fear of God and Nike line has seen some interesting resale volatility and trends. The good news for potential buyers of the Oatmeal is that the Air Fear of God 1s have been the best performer in the line, in terms of resell profitability.

The secondary market has had extremely high and sustainable growth when it comes to this particular sneaker. Based on previous Air Fear of God 1s, here is what we’re projecting form the Oatmeal:

Retail Price: $350
Resale Value: ~$500-$700+
Potential Profit: $150-$350 per pair
