A Ma Maniere, translated as “My Way” in French, champion the principle that people are swayed by their community and culture.

Although the boutique is geographically located in Washington DC, A Ma Maniere claim their inspiration sources from Parisian culture and fashion.

The inside of their shop represents a clash of coveted streetwear and abstract art, as they look to making major headlines in the sneaker world this weekend.

Now, back to the sneaker at hand.

The Nike and A Ma Maniere collaboration of the Air Force 1 was announced recently, and it seems they’re having help showcasing by none other than Texas-bred rapper Bun B.

Bun B re-entered the rap game after a five-year hiatus last year. This year, he joins forces with Georgia-based boutique A Ma Maniere to headline the Nike Air Force 1 “Hand Wash Cold.”

After a colossal way to begin Black Friday with the Yeezy 350 black restock, it’s been a quiet and underwhelming week, however, look for the CLOT Jordan Mids and A Ma Maniere to put a stop to that this weekend.

A MA MANIERE: story behind the sneaker

Enter James Whitner, who not only owns A Ma Maniere, but also has rights to popular stores like Social Status, APB, and Prosper.

Interestingly enough, as both the status-quo and future of retail has seen a virus to major brick-and-mortar stores such as Forever 21, Barneys New York, and JC Penny, James Whitner and his retail network, the Whitaker Group, seeks to come out unscathed.

His success is evident in the 18 locations of aforementioned retail stores, and oh-by-the-way, he just opened a retail store and restaurant conglomerate in Houston Texas.

Whitner’s 15 years in the industry also granted him the ability to bring about legendary rapper Bun B to be the assist-man on his new stint with Nike this weekend.

Moreover, the Nike Air Force 1 “Hand Wash Cold” edition holds symbolism that bleeds past standalone monetary value and profit-sake.

The sneaker was constructed to underscore the initiative to treat your community the same way one would care for luxury items.

Whitner states “The shoe tells a story of giving and giving back. Everything luxury should be taken care of, and lives in communities are delicate.”

Shoe designers and artists alike use inspiration and cause to assist in modeling new projects.

This iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 is no stranger to that norm.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 “HAND WASH COLD”: THE DETAILS

Being that this model of an Air Force 1 alludes to luxury, it’s obvious that it must embody luxury, and the partnership between the two entities did just that.

The highs and lows edition both have been given the luxury makeover. That is, the outer layer will include soft tumbled leather that one would find with most Jordan 1s.

In addition, both lows and highs resemble a mix of charcoal and black colorway, with hints of wooly texture in-between.

As for the low-top edition, the premium material has hints of suede at the toe, while the charcoal-esque tumble leather is apparent in the mudguard and heel counter.

The wooly Nike Swoosh begins on the black quarter panel and makes its way to the tumble leather rear, sitting on a white midsole.

Finally, the dark grey eyestay and charcoal outsole sit on either end of the limited sneaker.

The high-top version has a stark resemblance to its low counterpart in terms of material and colorway, however, the placement of the colors are different.

While the front makeup of the sneaker is the same as the lows, the rear includes a lighter charcoal colorway, that finds itself higher up the heel collar—as most high-top versions.

In addition, many sneakerheads may have a penchant for the black strap that sits atop the upper.

In addition to the premier quality, the sneakers will be exclusive to a limited amount of pairs. In fact, it’s rumored that each edition, highs and lows, will be limited to around 5,000 in stock.

If you’ve read this blog enough, you’ll know by now that these sneakers will perform well in post-retail world.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 “HAND WASH COLD” RESALE

It’s obvious—these pairs are a must-buy. At this junction in time, a size 9 of the high-top edition holds the value of almost $500, while it retails for $180.

Meanwhile, the size 9 lows demand a resale value at a higher value, while boasting a retail price of $170.

Due to its limited stock and unique premium material, both high and low edition should sell out immediately and range between $300 to $500 on the resale market.

Although Nike has been making noise with partnerships overseas, Nike continues to collaborate and make statements with seasoned designers in the states as well.

Look for more releases flooding the month of December and consider opting to our email list to assure you earn yours. In addition, you’ll gain access to a free preview of the sneaker reseller essential, Hypemaster Playbook.

Good luck to everyone.
