A Closer Look

While the Nike Air Force 1 Low has been testing out new waters with vibrant and trendy new themes, the silhouette appears to be going back to the basics with a White/Black variant.

The Air Force 1 Low has spent years on the market but it looks like the sneaker just keeps getting more and more popular. With today’s new trendy looks, the silhouette fits in right at home and with Nike’s ability to keep updates the shoe with new looks and colorways. The model competes with the best of them.

This iteration takes a dive back to the past with a classic look. Featuring a white leather upper like usual, the midsole opts for black, a nice change from the usual all-white pair. Nike branding also has gotten the memo and appears in black as well as the midfoot Nike Swoosh, heel, and tongue branding all are scribbled on in black.

Take a look at the detailed images below and see if they’re for you.

Other AF1’s of Recent and Beyond

There has and will always be a plethora of Nike Air Force 1’s on the market. Recently I’ve talked about the Drew League’s as a hot sneaker that’s released as well as the “BeTrue” that will get its drop day tomorrow. This white and black has a super similar aesthetic so definitely go for these as a solid alternative. It’ll be cheaper too so that always helps.

Of course on the other hand we’ve seen shoes like the Travis Scott, Off White, Supreme, Rocafella, and CLOT Air Forces go absolutely nuts on the resale market. As you would expect from those names associated.

With not much else to say about these, now we can take some time to go over some fits to wear with AF1s. Check out this video from my guy Eddie Win on how to style Air Force 1’s in 2020. He does a great job of going over certain pieces to wear to compliment your sneakers. The video shows off denim, sweats, jackets, fleeces, flannels, tees and much more to pair with your kicks. Definitely check it out if you’re looking to add to your mood board.

Resale Anticipation

It seems as though this monochromatic iteration of the timeless Air Force 1 may be somewhat of a sleeper in terms of its potential resale value. With so many other hyped shoes surrounding us, these may just be white noise. But let this be a lesson I harp on frequently – buy what you like. I can see these being a clean and crispy pair to have on feet this summer that may garner some compliments.

For now, I’m labeling these as a “no resell” opportunity. On the contrary you may actually be able to find some sales on these down the road. Keep a close eye on pages like @kicksundercost on twitter that shouts out sneaker deals.
