A Closer Look

Following up its Spring 2020 “The Jackboys” issue with Travis Scott, Don Tolliver, Sheck Wes, Chase B and Luxury Tax 50, SNEEZE Magazine has teamed up with Reebok for a crisp Club C. With no wasted space, excess color or unnecessary detailing, the collaborative design screams minimalism in an appealing fashion.

Built almost entirely of smooth white leather, the upper offers an elegant look that’s only broken up by SNEEZE‘s signature bubble-lettered outline tag in black on the lateral quarter. This graphic replaces a standard Reebok hit, and heel tabs depart from the rest of the build with a high-gloss white patent leather and debossed Reebok spellout logos.

Tongues and collar trim are done up in black for contrast, and the former features a large white Reebok logo on its tags. The inside of the tongue shoes off an originals “The Athlete’s Shoe” motif, and black or white laces allow the wearer to choose between more contrast or a tonal look. A final SNEEZE tag is printed on the insole, with white rubber midsoles and outsoles completing the look.

What Reebok has Brought to the Table

While the British footwear and apparel brand has been around for over 60 years now, they’re still classified by most as a second tier sneaker producer in terms of hype. That’s just the way it is. Although more so now than ever, Reebok is taking the right steps in becoming a lasting part in the sneaker scene.

Of recent, Reebok has had some wins with shoes like the Jjjjound Club C’s which still go for over twice the retail and topped out in the $400 range. In fact when I first saw this SNEEZE iteration, I immediately thought it could be a nice consolation prize if anyone missed out on the Jjjjound pair.

They have also had big success in bringing back retro basketball shoes like the Allen Iverson “Question” as well as the Shaquille O’Neal’s “Shaqnosis”. Both of these have released in a plethora of colorways over the past few years.

The DMX Trail Shadow is on the newer side for Reebok and seems to have popularity but you can still see pairs go on sale frequently. All in all, it seems like Reeboks highest sellers now are all old school like aforementioned sneakers plus lifestyle additions like the Club C, Classic, and Workout. So the question still asks, can Reebok truly come up with a new original sneaker to disrupt the market and compete with the top tier brands and shoes?

Resale Anticipation

Our resale analysis on the SNEEZE Club C’s is a strong one. You should be going after these with full confidence in regards to making some money on a flip. Being released exclusively on the SNEEZE site would indicate a somewhat limited amount of stock.

Like I alluded to earlier, this could be people’s next best thing to the Jjjjound release. I’m personally a huge fan of the Club C especially for the summer so I have no doubts that it will be a quality, comfortable, versatile sneaker for you if you decide to add them to your rotation immediately.

Although it was originally scheduled for a May 29 release, SNEEZE Magazine and Reebok’s collaborative Club C was pushed back until June 11. SNEEZE is throwing its full weight behind the #BlackLivesMatter protests, announcing that 100% of the proceeds from sales of the Club C on its webstore will be donated to #BlackLivesMatter. Another reason to cop this shoe.
