Streetwear Resale Value Guide: KITH

STREETWEAR KITH RESALE VALUE FOR RESELLERS WITH PROFIT

Discover the hyped sneaker releases and apparel by the brand KITH, their resale values, the brand’s history, and the story behind their rise to fame.

From being a simple retailer of sneakers and clothes in 2010 to being one of the most respected luxury retailers in the world, Ronnie Fieg and his team have come a really long way.

Ronnie Fieg, the owner of KITH, is a designer himself and being born and raised in Queens, New York, has always had a taste for street fashion. Fieg started young, at the age of 13 when he used to work for his uncle’s footwear chain at David Z.

Eventually, he became a designer and shook up the streetwear industry like few others ever have before him.

To appreciate how special this brand is to some people, let me walk you through a bit of its history and also assess how valuable its products are on the secondary markets.

Fieg began his designing journey during his time at his uncle’s store, David Z. Asics, a high-end sneaker manufacturer offered the young designer the opportunity to collaborate with them on the Gel Lyte III, one of their flagship sneakers.

Fieg went on to assist in designing 3 of them which is known as the “252 Pack”. This was because their sneakers were released in an ultra-limited quantity. 252 to be exact.

On November 11th of 2011, a New-York born designer established KITH in New York city which currently has 3 locations, the first two being Brooklyn and Manhattan.

After a fairly successful run, KITH also collaborated with Nike on a pop-up shop in 2016, followed by a collaboration with Aime Leon Dore in 2017.

But they weren’t stopping there. KITH went on to collaborate with Coca-Cola, Nike x LeBron James, Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more.

These collaborations really established KITH on the map as a dominant retailer that demanded respect. In 2021, the brand even planned a USA Olympics team tracksuit which was released on the 24th of July.

As a definite fan favorite in 2021, KITH is showing no signs of slowing down and its products are far from bricks on the secondary markets. Let’s check out a few of them:

Kith x Nike Air Force 1 Low Paris is still available on GOAT here

The relatively plain Air Force 1 Low may appear as if it’s a normal AF1, but it’s so much more valuable than what meets the eye.

White leather covers the majority of the sneaker with red/blue hits with KITH’s branding on the tongues and blue sock liners for an added contrast.

Sail midsoles and outsoles complete the look.

On the secondary market, you can buy these sneakers for whopping price tags of over $600 per pair! Although these are the more exclusive versions, you can see how valuable KITH products can get.

KITH x POLO Ralph Lauren Fleece Hoodie Navy Blue

This collaboration with Ralph Lauren was also quite profitable and sold out very quickly.

The hoodie is pretty basic. A Navy fleece material predominantly covers the hoodie with a well-dressed customary POLO bear in the middle and Ralph Lauren’s insignia.

They retailed for $165 and are reselling for almost a hundred dollars over on the secondary market. We’ve taken a look at collaborations but are general releases as profitable? Let’s take a look.

KITH Fix The System Tee

  • Retail Price: $65
  • Average Resell: $110+
  • Release Date: Monday, June 15th, 2020
  • Color: Black

Plain black Tees by KITH are also killing it on the secondary markets. This T-shirt features a simple black color with KITH’s logo across the chest in a contrasting white shade.

These are reselling for north of $110 which is also quite decent.

KITH keeps it simple but with the plethora of collaborations in Ronnie Fieg’s portfolio, you can see why this brand’s still a fan favorite.
