Weekly Sneaker Release/Resale Recap June 21st


This Weekly Recap includes Air Jordans, New Balance collaborations, and a hyped new Yeezy collection

Although we had a slow start in June, sneaker manufacturers are finally picking up the pace with more hyped releases. This week, starting June 14th to June 20th, we saw a few Air Jordans, New Balance collaborations, and some very profitable Yeezys!

Like most months so far in 2021, May has been chock-full of extremely lucrative sneakers and June is shaping up to be just as profitable. Check out what June has to offer in terms of hyped sneaker releases!

Starting off the week slow, Nike released an Air Force 1 Low inspired by a pomegranate.

The uppers are constructed with jet black leather, shrouding almost the entire sneakers. Contrast is provided by tan canvas swooshes that lead to similarly constructed heel tabs.

White laces envelope black throats that lead up to tongues with embroidered pomegranates. Crisp white midsoles and dark brown rubber outsoles finish off the design.

For resale purposes, Air Force 1s just isn’t very popular right now and these are no exception. Resale value has mostly stuck around retail prices leading to almost no profits. Thankfully, releases improved significantly after this!

Air Jordan 4 Golf ACG Torrey Pines Pack

  • Colorway: Teal/Purple

The Air Jordan 4 Golf ACG turned out to be a pleasant surprise for resellers. As part of the US Golf Open Torrey Pines pack, this Air Jordan 4 features ACG-inspired color tones.

A teal leather build with textured scuff guards covers most of the sneakers. Meanwhile, mesh throats and side panels indulge in a royal purple for an added contrast.

Orange and black rope-like laces are reminiscent of Nike’s original ACG sneakers while orange Jump-Man on the tongues matches in well with the rest of the upper.

White/black midsoles and outsoles with specialized grips finish off the design.

On StockX, this Air Jordan 4 is selling for average profits of $360, a gross profit of over $140 per pair!

Bodega x New Balance 990V3 Here To Stay

To celebrate Bodega’s 15th anniversary, long-time partner New Balance and the Boston-based boutique teamed up once again to collaborate on the New Balance 990V3.

Neutral and earthy tones cover most of these sneakers with a mesh and canvas build. Lateral sides feature grey “N” logos with cream “ENCAP” midsoles.

Bright crimson Bodega logos are featured on the heel tabs. Meanwhile, the heel caps feature 2021 and 2006, a nod at the brand’s 15th anniversary.

On reseller’s websites, these sneakers are selling for average prices of over $300 per pair. Even having been sold for over $700 at some point!

  • Colorway: Dusty Olive/Pro Gold

As a spiritual successor to the Ugly Duckling pack from back in 2001, the Nike Dunk Low Dusty Olive features a design that’s an amalgamation of all 3 colorways.

Mocha suede covers the underlays while overlays feature titular green olive hues. Bright orange laces blend in nicely, complimenting the Swooshes and heel tabs. Crisp white midsoles and bright orange outsoles complete the design.

Resale for these kicks has been decent at an average selling price of almost $280. That’s a gross profit of over $180!

PlayStation 5 x Nike PG 5 “PS5”

  • Release Date: Thursday, June 17th, 2021
  • Colorway: White/Blue-Black

Continuing their partnership, PlayStation and Nike released yet another collaboration on the PG5, hinting at the new PlayStation 5.

Mimicking the PS5, this sneaker features mesh overlays with neoprene tongues and black sock liners, matching the laces and throats for a nice contrast.

Blue outlines separate the crisp white midsoles while blue Nike Swooshes are presented on the forefoots and the heels. Dark blue outsoles finish off the design.

While they’ve even been sold for as high as $300 per pair, the average price for the PS5 PG5 is currently $170 on StockX.

YMC x New Balance 992 Rewind

  • Release Date: Thursday, June 17th, 2021
New Balance

YMC attempted to bring back the classic ‘90s aesthetic with popping retro colors on the new Balance 992 which is a classic in its own right.

Featuring a suede and mesh upper, these kicks don teal suede underlays with subtle purple leather hints and black suede around the toes and mudguards. Grey and neon green bordered “N” logos are embossed onto the lateral sides.

White midsoles with purple and pink hits and white outsoles finish off the design.

These shoes are reselling for average prices of around $240. That’s a $60 gross profit per pair.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Pack

  • Average Resell: $340
  • Release Date: Friday, June 18th, 2021

As part of a regional release, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono pack dropped on June 18th.  3 out of the 4 colorways that released included the Mono Ice (US), Mono Clay (Asia), and the Mono Mist (Europe).

The Mono Ice features cool color tones with, the Mono Clay takes on earthy hues, and the Mono Mist dons dark brown shades.

All 3 colorways diverge from the usual Yeezy 350 V2’s usual build and opt for sheath uppers with internal skeleton cages.

On the secondary market, these sneakers have been selling for profits of over $120 per pair. Overall, the entire pack proved to be quite lucrative.

  • Release Date: Sunday, June 20th, 2021

This collaboration features 2 colorways. The first is dubbed “Taupe Haze” which features a sandy upper that’s a mix of mesh, suede, and textiles.

Folded tongues feature vibrant aqua “Air Jordan” branding, a hue that also appears on the sock liners and the branded heel pieces. Yellowed outsoles complete the look.

The Second colorway, known as the Union LA Air Jordan 4 Desert Moss, features yellow textile and suede overlays with purple dark mesh toe boxes and collars.

Similar to last year’s AJ4s, these too feature yellow Union LA tags on the lateral quarters. Other touches of novelty include special hangtags to celebrate Union LA’s 30th anniversary.

The average selling prices of these sneakers are a whopping $1,000 for each pair. They’ve even been sold for over $1,200 on StockX. Thus, finishing off the week with a bang!
