To give you a better idea of the sneaker resale market and its trends, we are debuting weekly recap articles.

Let us know what you think!

We’ll begin this weekly market recap by taking a look at some of the hottest kicks that dropped this week!

First up, the Nike Dunk Low University Red!

We saw this sneaker release on June 12th with the usual Dunk retail of just $100. This has proven to be beneficial for resellers as Dunks have not only been picking up hype since the Off-White collab, but they are now much more profitable with that low retail.

Nike celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the Nike Dunk by releasing the Nike Dunk Low SP White University Red (2020).

The Nike Dunk debuted as part of the 1985 Nike College Color’s program, a program that delivered footwear in the school colors of 12 popular basketball programs allowing fans to support their favorite teams from head to toe.

This St. Johns colorway was among the first collegiate colorways Nike released, breaking the mold for colorways used on basketball shoes.

Despite being only a couple of days after the release, we have already seen 350+ sales on StockX with an average resale price of $330. Obviously this shoe is super popular and brings in some hefty profit!

The next shoe we have to talk about hasn’t actually released in the US yet.

The Air Jordan 1 Tie Dye (w) is releasing in the US on June 26th. However, the shoes have already released in Europe and have proven to be profitable according to current StockX data.

Effectively a reflection of current DIY trends, the release highlights the classic treatment by way of colored overlays. Composed of only two shades of blue, the leather panels feature an interesting wash that spirals with a lighter aqua alongside accents of a much deeper royal.

Elsewhere, neutrals construct the swoosh, ankle, and toe box in a dark black while a bright white covers the midsole and profile in departure.

The Jordan 1 releases in the US on June 26th with a retail price of $170. According to the current StockX data, there have been almost 800 sales, with a price premium of 115.3%, leaving an average resale price of $302.

Some unfortunate news this week: a couple of releases have been pushed back!

To begin, the Space Hippie collection has been pushed back to July 3rd after being previously scheduled for June 11th.

Why has the collection been pushed back? Currently, we have no information. Given the world’s current situation there are a plethora of reasons why Nike has delayed the collection.

The most likely reason is due to manufacturing or shipping issues. No matter the reason, you can expect to cop the Hippie collection on July 3rd.

The other notable delay we saw this week was the Jordan 5 Top 3

This shoe was scheduled to release on June 13th but due to current events has been pushed back in the US to June 20th.

The Jordan 5 combines the silhouette’s three most iconic colorways.

Black across the upper sets the stage for “Metallic Silver,” “Grape Ice/New Emerald,” and “Fire Red” contrast throughout the pair.

The Fresh Prince-approved duo takes over the tongue while accompanying hues from 1990 divvy up the midsole. As the Jordan 5 Top 3 commemorates the inaugural makeups of Tinker Hatfield’s design, heels are stamped with “NIKE AIR” branding.

However, we do have some information as the shoes have released in other countries. Currently, we have 450+ sales, a 26% price premium, with an average resale price of $305 ($200 retail).

Next up on the list: Supreme!

As most of you probably know, there was no Supreme drop last week. This was due to the fact that looting was happening in New York, and Supreme (smartly) did not want to run the risk of losing thousands in inventory.

However this week Supreme deemed it safe and we received the Week 16 drop!

Take a look at all of the items that dropped and scroll for some of the most profitable items!

The first profitable item we saw this week was the Small Box Hooded Sweatshirt (Ice Blue)

Now although I put Ice Blue there, all colorways would have brought in profit however the Ice Blue seems to be the most profitable.

Retailing at $148, StockX has an average resale price of $215 with over 40 sales. If you managed to get your hands on this hoodie, definitely a good cop!

The second profitable item we saw this week was the Contrast Boonie (Slate)

The boonies were actually some of the fastest items to sell out this week, who would have guessed?

It’s definitely unusual but if anyone likes fishing, this is a perfect way to incorporate hype!

With a retail of $60, this piece proved to be profitable as the average resale price is $108. The blue is the most hyped colorway, but any other colors would yield you some profit.

The last (but not final!) profitable item we saw this week was the Patchwork Knit Shorts Multicolor.

With the warm weather, these selling out and reselling is no surprise. They are the perfect summer shorts in the perfect colorway.

With the high retail price of $148, these shorts are selling at an average of $258! If you were lucky enough to cop these, you landed yourself a goldmine!

The final topic in this week’s market recap: a possible OVO x AF1?

Yes, you heard me right, a Drake X OVO X AF1 could be happening in 2021!

After quite a few noteworthy Jordans and a collection of elusive samples, Drake has amassed an influential and impressive backlog of collaborations. And since the rumors of him moving over to Adidas were debunked, the Toronto-born artist had little in the way of official releases save for a “signed” Raptors-colored Air Jordan 4.

Though now — nearly a year after — it looks like we’re finally going to see an OVO x Nike collaboration by way of the Air Force 1.

Scheduled for far off in 2021, the pair is likely to feature the imprint’s signature Owl logos; the backdrop — whether it be a Triple White or something more involved — is still a mystery, however, but will likely remain simple if past offerings are any indication.

For now, sit tight and expect more details to arrive later next year.

Just a prototype design - nothing finalized!
