Today the sneaker we will be taking a look at is the Nike Air Force 1 Low P(HER)SPECTIVE!
**Please skip to the conclusion for the need-to-know about the release**
Releasing on June 19th in women sizes, these kicks will be dropping for a retail price of $110. With futuristic details and a striking palette of florals, this shoe is must-cop for all of the sneaker-loving women!
To learn more about this sneaker we will be taking a look at its Jordan 1 counterpart and some other sneakers with similar colorways.
If you are a woman and you love sneakers, June 19th will be a great day for you! The Air Jordan 1 High P(HER)SPECTIVE will be releasing on the same day as the AF1, with a retail price of $170.
With a similar upper and the same metallic swoosh, the Jordan 1 and AF1 are a must-have duo. My guess in terms of resale for the Jordan 1 is that it will outperform the AF1.
The Jordan 1 is a classic model for men and women, a sneaker I don’t see ever going out of style. Incorporating new colors and new designs will only add to the already hype sneaker.
In terms of similar shoes, we’ll first take a look at the Air Force 1 Shadow White Coral Pink.
This shoe released on the 1st of June with the usual AF1 retail of $110. The Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Shadow is a women’s variation of the classic AF1 and it’s introduced in a perfect spring colorway consisting of white with pink accents throughout.
Composed of smooth and tumbled leather, the sneaker is defined by layered pieces and double design details as found on the tongue label, toe cap, heel tab, and Air branding on the heel.
Finally, a slightly elevated midsole and core-outed outsole to ensure more comfort rounds out the style.
After about two weeks on the market, the shoes are at an average StockX sale price of $139 with a 27.6% price premium above the retail.
The Nike Wmns Air Force 1 Shadow ‘Mystic Navy’ pays tribute to women as forces of change in their communities with unique doubled-up detail and an adventurous colorway featuring ‘Echo Pink’ and hits of ‘Gym Red.’
Print branding is also doubled at the heel, insole, and tongue, while the soft foam midsole gets thickened for extra height and comfort.
The average resale price of this sneaker is currently at $138, however, sales have picked up recently, rising to $170. This model is super popular and this color is perfect for summer – which is why prices have been on the rise.
The final comparison sneaker we’ll be talking about today is the Air Force 1 LX Purple Agate.
On December 2nd, sneakerheads were given their newest member to their Vandalized Capsule collection.
The Swoosh takes the classic lifestyle silhouette under the knife to rework its look with reversed tongue labels, lopsided Swoosh logos, and split-perforated toe boxes.
Departing from its leather uppers seen on previously released colorways, this updated version is constructed with smooth nubuck set with a “Purple Agate” coating and outlines its upper panels with visible orange stitchings that further speak to its “unfinished” theme.
This shoe provided a lot of hope for reselling as this sneaker brings in about $90-$130 in profit.
StockX data tells us that there have been over 300 sales at a 127.2% price premium, with the average sale price being $202.
Deciding what I thought the estimated resell price would be for these sneakers was quite difficult. I was torn as to whether or not it would perform like the Purple Agate or the Shadow White Coral Pink.
I decided the two main factors would be the colorway and the style of the sneaker.
With the colorway of the P(HER)SPECTIVE being very, very similar to the Purple Agate, I felt that it would make for a perfect summer shoe.
We also see that the Purple Agate does have that Off-White deconstructed feel, something the P(HER)SPECTIVE does not have.
I don’t think this is a defining factor on the resell value, but I think it will lower the value a little, just because of the hype associated with the unfinished look.
Release Date: June 19th
Retail Price: $110
Average Resale Value: $160-$190
Retailers: Nike, Footlocker, other select retailers
If you are a reseller and are thinking about picking these up, my advice to you is to aim for size 5W-8.5W. Those sizes have constantly shown the most room for profit over many styles of the AF1.
All in all, I wish you best of luck on June 19th! Happy copping!
