Nike Air Jordan 1 RETRO High “electro orange” RELEASE DETAILS, Estimated resell VALUE, and official images.

Michael Jordan̵7;s iconic basketball sneaker with the trademark Swoosh and wings logo is among the most popular footwear among sneakerheads. Despite the fact that they were designed for the courts, hardcore Jordan fans and streetwear enthusiasts have given them a deeper significant meaning, and it shows.

It is not often that a legend is re-released multiple times but Nike definitely knows its worth. The Nike Air Jordan I is back in a classic “Electro Orange” colorway that is very much inspired by the Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” that debuted in 2015.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 “Electro Orange” will be available on July 17th at a retail price of $170. Stay tuned to find out more about this release.

Air Jordan 1 — A Brief History

Michael Jordan Wearing the Air Jordan 1 nike air jordan 1

The Nike Air Jordan 1, designed by Peter Moore, made quite an impression on the basketball shoe industry in 1985. It’s reasonable to assume that it changed the sneaker industry forever.

Michael Jordan’s first NBA season earned him a position on the Chicago Bulls as well as a $2.5 million Nike deal. He was dissatisfied with the contract since he had previously been devoted to Adidas, and Nike was a step down for him.

It would have been fantastic if future Micheal Jordan had told him what the deal’s prospects were.

The mainly red and black design of the original Air Jordan I was banned when it debuted in 1985. Due to league regulation, a substantial punishment of $5000 was imposed every time it hit the court.

The famous design was given a league-approved white color palette in the later editions.

Lets checkout some of the Air Jordan 1’s and their estimated resell value.

The leather side panels serve as the ideal backdrop for the vibrant hues that follow. The Light Fusion Red leather overlays on the scuff-guards, eye stays, rears, and collars are arguably the shoes’ most distinctive characteristics.

Black Jordan Wings designs appear on the collars with Laser Orange branded tongues.

A clean white midsole conceals high-end cushioning technology beneath the foot, making them not only fashionable but also one of the most comfortable sneakers on the market.

AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH OG “UNIVERSITY BLUE”

Like many others this colorway also comes with a history. The “University Blue” isn’t merely a hue inspired by collegiate colours. It’s a tribute to Michael Jordan’s time at the University of North Carolina, which he attended from 1981 to 1984.

The uppers of this Jordan 1 University Blue are made of quality tumbled leather and feature the model’s distinctive colour grading, with UNC Blue, white, and black panels creating a classic appearance.

Each side has Nike’s famous Swoosh emblem, as well as Nike Air branding on the tongue and a wings logo on the collar.

A whited rubber sole unit underfoot neatly accommodates the uppers completing the look of the sneaker.

Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard”

The original Nike Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” was released in 2015 and was inspired by the iconic moment when Michael Jordan shattered the backboard while performing the legendary slam dunk move.

This pair was dressed in orange, black and white with some classic Air Jordan 1 elements like the Nike Swoosh and the wings logo across the collar.

On the other hand, the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Electro Orange” is quite inspired by the “Shattered Backboard”. Let’s dive in to find out how.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Electro Orange”

  • Retail Price: $170
  • Estimated Resell: $250
  • Release Date: Saturday, July 17th, 2021
  • Colorway: White/Electro Orange/ Black

The sneaker is dressed in near-fluorescent orange which is visible on the collar region and the outsole giving it a premium look contrasting with the white leather foundation accented with black overlays.

We can see the black overlays at the toe, eyelets and the Swoosh similar to the Nike Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” we discussed earlier and we can see that orange is replaced with premium white in many areas on the “Electro Orange”.

Other than that the iconic Swoosh branding, black toe, and the “wings” logo on the lateral ankle flap are all present and are taken from the classic Air Jordans.
