Coming back to the Nike Air Max 90 OG Infrared, Nike has recently given a lot of love to its top-selling sneaker. After releasing the Air Max 90 Spider Web for Halloween, Nike is set to reintroduce its beloved Infrared Colorway.

First, let me walk you through the history of this classic sneaker.

Nike Air Max 90 is one of the most iconic sneakers today. These kicks are the perfect successors to the Nike Air Max 90, the first Air Max sneaker.

Created in 1987 by the great Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max 1 revolutionized sneakers forever with Nike Air. Although Air was used in various Nike sneakers as far back as the 1970s. The Air Max 1 put Air technology on full display.

In 1990, the Air Max 90 was born as the real spiritual successor to the Air Max 1. Then called the Nike Air Max III, this sneaker followed the Air Jordan line with constant evolution in design and functionality.

Some Air Max 90s even featured exotic materials such as the Air Max 90 Safari colorway among many others. They were an instant hit, with many still highly sought after on reseller markets.

Constructed with a combination of mesh, leather, and grey suede, these sneakers give off that classic 1990s vibe. Even the stitching on the grey ‘Swoosh’ stays true to the originals from back in 1990.

The tweaks to the design include an adjusted toe box, heel scale, and panel scale. The red also matches a more “Radiant Red” than “Infrared” this time.

Due to being such a popular and timeless sneaker, I do believe that these kicks will sell out.

However, since there are so many different releases of this colorway already on reseller markets, don’t expect crazy high profits.

Using my estimated resell value of $160, expect profits of around $20, however, size 8-10 might have resale values of over $200. If you want to play it safe, hold them for at least a year as they’re expected to appreciate over time.
