After dominating its domestic peers, Auralee set its eye on the international market, aiming to burst onto the scene with frequent runway shows and exciting collaborations.

One of those collaborations has been with New Balance, a cultural icon in its own right.

In 2019, the duo dropped a collaboration on the New Balance RC_2.

While the RC_2 does have an unsubstantial market, it’s highly profitable, reselling at an average price of over $500.

Released alongside a darker colorway, the Auralee New Balance RC_2 was released back in March in a clean taupe hue.

With soft color tones coupled with weather-resistant GORE-TEX materials, it’s easy to see why people are paying top dollar for them on the secondary markets.

Featuring AURALEE’s signature muted aesthetics, the upper of this basketball-inspired silhouette features an “Ecru” hue all around including the heel tabs, laces, and tongues.

“N” logos on the lateral sides blend right in with matching color tones while yellowed-out midsoles feature “new balance’ and “B” branding embossed in typical fashion.

This plain design also forgoes any branding on the tongues in favor of AURALEE’s minimalistic approach.

Rears feature embroidered black “new balance” logos while matching outsoles complete the design.

You can buy these sneakers at select retailers and END on August 20^th. The retail price per pair for the US is TBC, however, they dropped in Japan in July for ¥ 19,800 (Approximately $180).

These sneakers will likely sell out and be very profitable. However, these are slow-moving products on the secondary market so they might not resell quickly.
