A few months ago, it was rumored to be named the “Tailgate” edition. Albeit the apparent name change, the sneaker̵7;s aesthetic itself hasn’t changed by too much.

The Adidas and Ye team has been quite successful this year with their slew of Yeezy renditions that have been surprising the masses on their higher-than-average resale positions.

However, if you live in North America, you’ll be heavily disappointed to know that the Yeezy 350 v2 Tail Light model will not be releasing in this region.

So, you’ll have to pay resell prices if you want these pairs, unless you fancy a reshipper across seas.

With that being said, the Yeezy 350 v2 Tail Light should emulate the projections and performance of the prior Yeezy 350 v2 of the year 2020.

In addition, it’s unique aesthetics may help it catapult its resell above the other Yeezy 350 v2 of this year.

Another February offering after the successful Yeezy 350 v2 Marsh drop, is an attempt at a global reach from the Ye and Adidas partnership.

As previously mentioned, the Yeezy 350 v2 Tail Light is a batch that is manufactured exclusively for the Europe and Russia region, sorry to disappoint everyone in North America.

When this shoe was first featured on the Six Figure Sneakerhead blog, the leaked concept pictures only included the vibrant orange on the heel tab, as of now, it is to cover up to the middle of the side stripe, in addition to the heel tab.

The orange shade color they chose is reminiscent of the Yeezy 350 v2 Beluga, an OG shoe that many will remember if you’ve been in the shoe game for quite some time.

For those that just entered recently, just go into the search bar and you’ll understand the comparison.

Adding the hue that resembles a car’s tail light might have been an excellent upgrade by the designer as it further’s the shoe’s unique element and encourages many to grab a pair for personals.

Albeit, there’s much more to the new Yeezy edition than just its rear, as it consists of a more subtle colorway elsewhere around the shoe.

The hue surrounding the orange tail light resemblance is a cool grey on the Primeknit upper, the insoles, and shoelaces. The insoles consist of the same orange hue that the pull-tab have in their “Adidas Yeezy” branding.

Furthermore, the second half of the stripe carries a different shade of grey as it moves towards the front.

The stitching pattern is the same as all prior Yeezys and the rest of the upper sits on a pale-colored Boost technology midsole.

Finally, the outsole mimics the same midsole color.

Although coloring the center of the outsole that reaches the rear also in the orange hue could have been noteworthy, it seems the partnership wanted to keep a subtle pop look.

To reiterate, the shoe carries a ghost, the ghost of the Yeezy 350 v2 Beluga. The Belugas are an OG shoe that brought much hype to the sneaker community when Yeezys initially dropped with resale at over $1,000.

The Yeezy 350 v2 Belugas are something of a beauty, aren’t they? One can see how they resemble the Tail light based on not only the orange rear but the surrounding grey is just a darker hue than the aforementioned Tail Light.

In addition, the Belugas carry an upper Primeknit design that has a tiger-stripe feel to them.

Overall, the OG colorway stands the test of time, as the value of the resale price has gradually increased to $1,000 modern-day.

regional drops

This certainly isn’t the first time Ye has applied a regional release methodology on a Yeezy model.

The most recent regional releases were the Synth, Antila, and Lundmarks editions.

The Yeezy 350 v2 Lundmarks were a North America and Latin America exclusive that were a fan favorite to say the least.

Evidentially, the sneaker wasn’t doing too well in terms of resale value until it’s recent upslope climb.

The Yeezy 350 v2 Synth was released exclusively within Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Australia region.

This Yeezy 350 v2 rendition did much better than the Lundmarks, as immediately after the release it had the potential for resale.

In addition, the price has sky-rocketed as of late.

Rounding out the regional release was the Yeezy 350 v2 Antilas that only released at selected retailers in Europe, Russia, and Ukraine.

They performed similarly to Yeezy 350 v2 Lundmark numbers as not much resale potential translated from the regional exclusivity.

In addition, these would be the worst-performing of the three as it pertains to sneaker resale.

yeezy 350 v2 tail light resale projection

As mentioned prior, the Yeezy 350 v2 Tail Light is not releasing on a bevy of sites as it’s only releasing in a certain region.

Therefore, the resale prices should do well due to its limited fashion.

As of right now during its pre-release days, the sneaker boasts the resale potential of $100, as it ranges on a price point between $350 to $400.

Based on the sneaker’s close resemblance to a popular colorway and the apparent limited stock, the shoe should do well after the release: The Yeezy 350 v2 Tail light should have a resale between $400 to $500.
