To give you a better idea of the sneaker resale market and its trends, we are debuting weekly recap articles.

Let us know what you think!

We’ll begin this weekly market recap by taking a look at some of the hottest kicks that dropped this week!

First up, the Air Max 95 Denham.

Though originally assumed to be by its lonesome, the previously leaked Denham Air Max 1 is set to be accompanied by a denim-outfitted Air Max 95. With little to absolutely no lead time, the pair seems to have quietly hit the shelves of Nike Shanghai’s House of Innovation.

A seemingly inside-out denim swatch lines the sides along with the middling layer while equally durable ecru canvas constructs directly above.

Black denim then contrasts along the mudguard, blending into the toe cap whose finish looks to be of a matted suede. Elsewhere, neutral tongues are then overlapped by blacked laces and an array of volt green hits that take the form of “Air Max” branding and eye stay loops.

In terms of resale for the Air Max 95 Denham, we’ve seen some pretty good numbers.

With over 200 sales on the StockX Marketplace, the Air Max 95 Denham has racked up a price premium of 67.7% and an average resale price of $367.

Next up, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro PJ Tucker.

The sneaker king is finally releasing his own sneaker. For years, PJ Tucker has stood in a league of his own by rocking player exclusives from an array of memorable athletes.

In addition to his wide PE game, samples and hyped items have also made it on the hardwood thanks to the Rockets big man.

The reigning Kicks On Court champion is finally getting a PE with a retail release on the way. The upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Protro PE features a multi-color look as grey, red, purple, blue, and neon land on the legendary silhouette. More could be on the way as PJ also teased a blue and purple PE in the NBA bubble.

In terms of resale for the Nike Kobe 5 Protro PJ Tucker, we’ve seen some pretty good numbers.

With over 35 sales on the StockX Marketplace, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro PJ Tucker has racked up a price premium of 91.7% and an average resale price of $337.

Now my guess is that if the Lakers (Kobe’s old team) are able to beat the Miami Heat in the finals, this sneaker’s resale value could rise. We’ve seen real-life events have impacts on sneaker value.

And, unfortunately, one of those examples was Kobe’s death. You saw sneaker prices rise because everyone wanted to own something that would remind them of Kobe’s influential career. It’s sad, but it’s the way of the game.

Finally, the Jordan 13 Retro White Lucky Green.

Jordan Brand added a new colorway to their catalog with the Jordan 13 Lucky Green. The Lucky Green colorway is fairly reminiscent of the Jordan 13 Ray Allen PE that surfaced in 2011.

The Jordan 13 Lucky Green features a white leather upper with green suede overlays and 3M piping.

A signature Jumpman holographic emblem on the ankle, perforated white leather tongue, and black and white sole add the finishing touches on this 1990s marvel.

These sneakers released on September 26th of 2020 and retailed for $190.

In terms of resale for the Jordan 13 Retro White Lucky Green, we’ve seen some pretty neutral numbers.

With over 140 sales on the StockX Marketplace, the Jordan 13 Retro White Lucky Green has racked up a price premium of 10.5%% and an average resale price of $233.

If you got your hands on this sneaker, don’t worry you will most likely be able to make your money back. This sneaker is what I would call a dud. No profit, barely any resell value after retail.

It’s sneakers like these that resellers have to be careful about and understand that they won’t bring in profit. That’s the benefit of these articles: to learn and understand and eventually be able to tell what sneakers will and will not be profitable.

These articles give you the chance to see resell numbers for sneakers and start to learn what aspects make sneakers profitable.
