Recap from Week 4

Here’s what went down with week 4 last Thursday: The Yohji Yamamoto collaboration certainly rocked us. There were scribble tees, rose sweaters, down jackets, crewnecks, beanies and more. It seems like some of those pieces were hit or miss on the resale market. Don’t fear, hang on to all your pickups even if you don’t like the market right now. Other inline pieces were the pipe wrench, scatter long sleeve top, and Gore-Tex hats. Check out the last droplist here. Were you able to cop anything? Without further ado let’s go over the more popular items heading into this week.

Collaborations

Continuing its major FW20 collaborations, Supreme has now returned to reveal its collaboration with Joel-Peter Witkin to accompany its Week 5 Drop.

The latest team-up is centered around the American artist’s evocative imagery that disrupts conventional notions of mortality, desire and spirituality. Comprised of a hoodie, a long sleeve, and a short sleeve shirt, Supreme’s latest collaborative release features three of Joel-Peter Witkin’s images: Mother and Child (With Retractor, Screaming)Harvest, and Sanitarium, which inspired Alexander McQueen’s iconic 2001 “Asylum” presentation. Prices are $168, $62,  and $48 respectively. A wide spectrum of colorways – wine, lime green, pink, black, white, and grey.

The accompanying Week 5 inline drop is led by Watches Reversible Puff Jacket, Crochet Hoodied Zip-Up Sweater, Patchwork Hooded Sweatshirt and matching Sweatpants, Shop Hooded Sweatshirt and Paneled Jersey. Other standouts include the Two-Tone Work Shirt, Thin Stripe Polo, Ancient Shortsleeve Top, Work Pants and Cotton Cinch Pants. Headwear this time around comes in the form of the Crochet Crusher, New Era Shop Beanie, Cuff Stripe Beanie and Rainbow Knit Loose Gauge Beanie. While this week’s boldly branded accessories include Canvas Backpack/Tote and Wedo Step Stool in three colorways.

      Conclusion

There you have it and there it is everyone. A sleepy week 5 all wrapped up! This is for sure a week for the personal stash. I think there’s definitely good finds in this week that will look great in the times to come but in terms of hype there’s not much to be found! Looking forward to more collabs coming later in the season. (Looking at you, North Face).

After the drop, always see if you can find or make sales on platforms like Grailed, Ebay, Reddit or Instagram. This way, buyer and seller can get the most out of the sale and not succumb to fees.
