Although the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is a low rated flip according to the Hypemaster Playbook. It comes with a lot of hype, with some sneakers making very decent profits. The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra is definitely close to the top of that list.

Before we go into details of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra, let’s delve into a bit of background.

Skip to conclusion for summarized info.

A Brief History/Yeezy Boost 350 V2

The Yeezy, as you may know is Kanye West and Adidas’ love child with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 being arguably the favorite.

Kanye West didn’t just start with this silhouette nor is this like any other celebrity collaboration. The Yeezy has created a legacy through Adidas which Kanye struggled to build after years of aspirations to become the respected designer he is today.

He worked with multiple Italian designers and gained a strong foothold in the fashion realm. He designed his first sneaker called the “bapesta” in 2007.

His designer prestige further catapulted when he signed with Nike and made the first Air Yeezy. The Collaboration however, was short lived as there was a disagreement over royalties.

Kanye then signed with Adidas in 2015 which saw the release of iconic sneakers, most notably, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra/The Hype is Real

The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra is nothing new to Yeezy fans at all. That’s probably because they’re being restocked for the 5th time! Yet there still seems to be hype and anticipation surrounding this ubiquitous colorway.

Back in the day however, hype was unreal. When the pair first dropped in February 2017, long lines outside retail stores plagued the streets. Lines were so long that people often had to wait weeks or days just to get them.

The lines were obviously part of what was wrong in the sneaker culture those days. It led to a lot of violence and even deaths which had to be stopped.

Thus sneaker sellers started doing raffles for more limited sneakers rather than physical store releases.

The latest restock for the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra, although diminished, is still pretty hyped. I expect they will sell out fast just as previous releases have before.

The resale however, seems to diminish with every release as well. It’s part of Ye’s vision that “every person that wants a Yeezy should get a Yeezy” and it’s really hurting the resale for these shoes.

Let’s look at a few recent examples to estimate the resale value for the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cream/Triple White

Retail Price: $220

Peak Resell: $900

Release Date: 04/29/2017

Colorway: Cream White

This Yeezy features an all-white Prime knit upper with a core white mid-sole and white laces. They also have a camouflaged SPLY-350 on the side stripes similar to many other colorways.

These kicks have seen a few restocks over the years since debuting in 2017. Initially they sold out fast and resale was great. In 2018 they restocked again yet the resale has still held up strong.

The trade range on StockX is between $255-$393 with the average price being $315. That’s a solid gross profit of $95. At peak resale, profits are around $680 before tax and service fee.

An interesting thing to note is the decline in value since the restocked in September of 2018. The value dropped from an average of $380 to around $250 in a matter of weeks. It later slowly gained back its value.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Yeshaya (Reflective)

Retail Price: $250

Peak Resell: $877

Release Date: 01/24/2020

Colorway: Yeshaya

The Yeshaya colorway was one of the first releases of 2020. Yeezy started off the year with neutral tones for this one with a grey and white upper. These received no restocks yet which has contributed to its stable resale.

The trade range is between $341-$449 with the average price being $379. That’s an average profit of $129 before tax and service fee. At peak resale, gross profits are as high as $627.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Blue Tint

Retail Price: $220

Peak Resell: $800

Release Date: 12/16/2017

Colorway: Blue Tint

This is perhaps the most similar colorway to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra with the “zebra” like prime knit upper. These also feature the typical boost technology and the SPLY-350 embroidery on the lateral sides.

These kicks are super popular even today with a high number of sales and very good profits. Kanye claimed these sneakers “Jumped over the jump-man” which possibly added to the hype.

Its average resale price is a decent $437. That’s an average gross profit of $217 which is pretty impressive. Had you sold these at peak resale, profit would have been as high as $580 before tax and service fees.

Releasing for the 5th time since they debuted in 2017, Yeezy fanatics have another shot at copping one of the most popular Yeezys ever.

The sneaker features a prime knit upper with the typical thick white laces. It comes in a striped black and white color tone resembling a zebra. It also features a red SPLY-350 on the lateral sides.

A white and black heel loop along with a white mid-sole and rubber out-sole finishes off the design. Take a better look for yourselves.

Estimated Resell

Since this is one of the most popular Yeezy colorways, it will definitely be profitable to resell. How profitable however, is the real question.

Since restocks almost always diminish resale value, we could expect the same for the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra. It has in fact seen many of those.

As seen with similar colorways, restocks reduce their resale value and since this is the 5th restock, StockX provides us with an interesting sales pattern.

Via StockX

Each major slump in the graph shows a restock which diminishes the average resale price for this colorway. That’s a pretty interesting little fact with evidence from StockX.

To get your many back after a standard US tax and service fee. You’ll need to sell these for at least $262. With my estimated resale prediction of $300, that’s an average profit of around $40 per pair.

How to Cop

These are extremely popular colorways and you’ll need to be fast if you want to cop them for retail price. I suggest signing in with multiple accounts or using a bot if possible.
